Robert is an interdisciplinary artist based in Canberra who has been spending the last 3 months with the men of the Airds Bradbury Mens Shed. I spoke with him today about some of the  highlights and challenges of working to rehab a cooking trailer out of a 1974 pop up camper van. He has engineered a way of helping realise the design using cardboard to fit out the inside, giving the men a tactile and visual idea of what the renovations will need. They are working on it together, getting ready for the 16th and 17th August event – ART OUT LOUD – the Airds community day.  The Mens Shed is a common space and national movement for men in the community to come and share tools and have a cup of tea with a conversation.
