Dreamers who seek treasure
Tanya Schultz
13-15 August   10-5pm, Friday 16 August  2-8pm, Saturday 17 August  10-5pm
Nandewar Place, Airds

Visit Dreamers who seek treasure, a colourful multi-layered wallpaper mural created by artist Tanya Schultz working together with the local community. Created through a process of photographing objects that have been donated, lent and created by local residents, the work will playfully and optimistically fill up the inside of a recently vacated house in Airds. Based on an ancient folk tale that describes a dreamer who seeks treasure in a faraway land but finds it at home, the project explores the things we cherish and that define our familiar spaces.

Site Narratives
Rebecca Conroy

Site Narratives is an online space created by Rebecca Conroy for Temporary Democracies. It will include critical writings, curated documents, transcribed conversations, interviews and audio recordings of local stories, and the documented experiences of artists engaging with a community undergoing significant change. An artwork in its own right, the online space explores ideas of community, urban renewal and Australian mythologies.
