Set on the remnant concrete foundation of a vacant block of land in Airds, Brian will translate his research from the local area into a textual language for a performance score, in a weeklong open event, to an audience seated on rostra across the road.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dreamers who seek treasure<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tanya Schultz<\/strong><br \/>\n13-15 August\u00a0\u00a0 10-5pm, Friday 16 August\u00a0 2-8pm, Saturday 17 August\u00a0 10-5pm<br \/>\nNandewar Place, Airds<\/p>\n<p>Visit\u00a0<i>Dreamers who seek treasure<\/i>, a colourful multi-layered wallpaper mural created by artist Tanya Schultz working together with the local community. Created through a process of photographing objects that have been donated, lent and created by local residents, the work will playfully and optimistically fill up the inside of a recently vacated house in Airds. Based on an ancient folk tale that describes a dreamer who seeks treasure in a faraway land but finds it at home, the project explores the things we cherish and that define our familiar spaces.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Academy &#8211; What\u2019s Your Game?<br \/>\nElizabeth Woods<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Friday 16 August 2-8pm. As part of her residency and work-in-development, artist Elizabeth Woods will transform the interior of a house into a drop-in centre for table tennis action, complete with table tennis trophies and memorabilia, and table-tennis demonstrations by the NSW Table Tennis Association.<\/p>\n<p><b>Mobile Cooking Hearth<br \/>\nRobert Ern Yuan Guth<br \/>\n<\/b>Friday 16 August as part of Airds OutLoud\u00a0 4-8pm (located at AB Central car park, 15 Riverside Drive Airds), Saturday 17 August as part of Temporary Democracies, 10-5pm (Nandewar Place, Airds )<\/p>\n<p>Experience a community art project like no other, all while enjoying some good conversation and free food. Initiated and built by artist Robert Guth together with members of Airds\/Bradbury Men\u2019s Shed, the Mobile Cooking Hearth is made using the hearts of the private kitchens from demolished houses, transformed into a transportable communal cooking facility that will become a permanent part of Airds community.<\/p>\n<p><b>Site Narratives<br \/>\nRebecca Conroy<\/b><br \/>\nSite Narratives is an online space created by Rebecca Conroy for Temporary Democracies.\u00a0It will include critical writings, curated documents,\u00a0transcribed\u00a0<wbr \/>conversations, interviews and audio recordings of local stories, and the documented experiences of artists engaging with a community undergoing significant change.
